WB's JUSTICE LEAGUE to be live-action?

IESB.NET is back with another report about this JUSTICE LEAGUE movie that Warner Bros. seems hell-bent to make. The site is now saying that it will not be CGI/Motion Capture as rumored -- just part of it. It will be a live-action film. The report also confirms that Christian Bale and Brandon Routh are not part of this film. It seems that JL will take place in a different "universe" from the ones established by BATMAN BEGINS/THE DARK KNIGHT and SUPERMAN RETURNS.

So basically, we’ll have alternate, live-action versions of Batman and Superman. Frankly, that is stupid as hell in my opinion. Anyway…

So, who will be playing DC’s “Big Two?” According to IESB, Tom Welling from SMALLVILLE is being pursued to play The Man of Steel. Wow -- and that’s wow as opposed to WOW!!

So what about The Dark Knight? IESB.NET says “…we’ve got a lead on who is being looked at for Batman but we need some further info and confirmation before we announce it!”

Frankly, I think having two different movie Batmans (Bale and whomever), two different movie Supermans (Routh and Welling), and a live-action “Multiverse” is asinine!

I can say this with confidence: The majority of Batman fans are against this. 7 out of 10 emails BOF receives regarding this topic, don‘t want Batman in this film. In a recent BOF “Bat-Poll,” nearly 2,000 of the 3,000 cast were not in favor of Batman being in a JL film -- at least not right now.

If there is going to be a second -- and concurrent to the Nolan/Bale version -- live-action Batman (*rolls eyes*), he has to be very much different than the one found in the solo series. Make him older -- a seasoned vet of the war on crime.

Regardless, it looks as if this is going to happen. Despite the fact I think including Batman in this first one is a HUGE mistake, I do hope that the script is a good one and this doesn’t end up being cheesy as hell.
