Here are a few general observations by "The Librarian":

"I don't know how well you know Chicago and Lower Wacker drive -- I myself am not an outright expert, being that I am a transplant from Louisiana, only living here 4 years, But I have been taking Lower Wacker Drive to work for the past 6 months.

I know that you know that there has been much filming on Lower Wacker, but primarily in the area that is open air on the north side next to the river, but there is a more closed off more tunnel-ish, darker, more Gotham-esque area (I have always said to myself why are they not filming in this area, I mean it really looks like a place a bat might be, its the real underbelly of the city, shadowy, smelly, ratty, creepy), this area extends further to the west which will ultimately lead to exits above ground that will take you either to Canal Street or to the Eisenhower 290 express which goes under the Old Post Office where much other TDK filming has occurred.

What you may or may not know about some of the lighting involved with the shooting is that there are these small round lights (they are about 8 to 10 inches in diameter and have a diffused cover over them -- they almost resemble a larger version of those battery push lights -- that are attached to every other concrete pylon on both sides (north and south sides) of Lower Wacker and they are hard wired to run off of generators, not battery operated. They were added to give additional lighting for the filming.

Who knows what is going to be filmed there -- I hope it will be used in the movie and not just an experiment that ends up on the cutting room floor!"
