During its panel at San Diego Comic Con 2016, Warner Bros. Animation the next animated Batman film would be titled BATMAN AND HARLEY QUINN and will be released Summer 2017. The movie will be an original story by the co-creator of Harley Quinn (along with Paul Dini), Bruce Timm. No other details were released.

I wonder if this will be a standalone movie, or will be set within the continuity of the animated Batman films such as SON OF BATMAN, BATMAN VS. ROBIN, and BATMAN: BAD BLOOD? Regardless, it sounds interesting. I also wonder if the proposed Harley Quinn live-action film and Ben Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman movie have anything to do with pairing these two up for an animated flick?

WBA also announced two other DC animated films for 2017: JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK and TEEN TITANS: THE JUDAS CONTRACT. I wonder if this JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK animated project is meant to gauge the interest in the currently in development hell live-action movie?

What do you think of BATMAN AND HARLEY QUINN and the rest of WBA's animated DC movie slate for 2017? Post your thoughts in the comments section below!
