REVIEW

“Cent’tanni” is Sofia’s episode.

When we last saw Sofia at the end of the previous episode, “Bliss“, Oz had left her behind after Vic saved him from the Maroni gang.

Was she dead?  Alive? Captured by the Maroni’s?

Well, Sofia did indeed survive and we found out what happened while she and Oz were being held at gunpoint by Nadia Maroni and her men.  Like, Oz had been working with the Maroni Family all along, playing her.  Oh yeah, it was Oz who killed her brother.

Yeah, some major sh*t!

The story then flashes back a decade and we discover exactly what happened to Sofia that led her to be “hospitalized” in Arkham for 10 years.  Was she actually The Hangman and if not, who was?  Let’s just say that her father, Carmine Falcone (played in THE PENGUIN by Mark Strong), was more of a ruthless, MF’er than we ever imagined.

In this episode, Sofia’s time at Arkham feels and plays out like a horror story.  She’s essentially tortured with electroshock therapy and left alone to be attacked by other inmates.  I felt bad for her.

The episode ends back in the current timeline with an uninvited Sofia joining all of her family for dinner.  Dressed to the nines and looking good, she reveals to the Falcones that she knows exactly what each one of them (other than her young second cousin) had done to her — especially 10 years ago.  She then toasts them all with “cent’anni” and announces that she’s starting a new life come tomorrow.  Remember, she’s supposed to leave for Italy the next day…but is that the new life she’s talking about?  We find out exactly what the new life is, but again, I’ll leave that for y’all to find out on your own.  It’s too cool to spoil!

Another great episode of THE PENGUIN!  We’re right at the halfway point and sh*t’s about to get really F’n serious now…especially for Oz…and Johnn Vitti.- Bill “Jett” Ramey
