Well hello there…long time, no talk!

Yes, I’ve got your emails asking me why BOF has been so quiet recently.  Well, after THE PENGUIN came to an end, there hasn’t really been anything to report when it comes to THE BATMAN EPIC CRIME SAGA.

But that should change very soon.

Since THE BATMAN: PART II is going to commence filming later this year, I expect that we’ll start hearing casting news and other details related to the film shortly.

Patience is your friend, y’all.  ANYWAY…

Christina Milioti — who portrayed Sofia Falcone/Gigante in THE PENGUIN — was recently asked (via IndieWire) if she would like to be part of one of Matt Reeves’ upcoming films in THE BATMAN SAGA.  In short, her answer was “Duh!”

I would love nothing more.  It’s my wildest dream. The day they call, I’ll be there — like WHEN they are loading in the base camp vans, you know what I mean? It would be my wildest dream. I haven’t heard anything concrete yet, but I would love it.

Of course, details about THE BATMAN: PART II are super-duper top secret, but there have been some whispers that Sofia will show in THE BATMAN sequel.  But as of now, CM hasn’t heard anything “concrete.”  “They’re secretive,” said Milioti, “but I would love nothing more. I would play this character for all time.”  She even has some ideas about what could be in Sofia’s future, so check that story out HERE.

And by the way, these latest quotes from Christina Miloti took place backstage at the 2025 Critic’s Choice Awards where she won “Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television” for THE PENGUIN.  And Colin Farrell nabbed the “Best Actor” version as well.  Congrats to them both! – Bill “Jett” Ramey

THE BATMAN: PART II will be released on October 1, 2027.  For BOF’s coverage of this film, visit BOF’s Everything About THE BATMAN: PART II Page. For BOF’s coverage of 2022’s THE BATMAN, visit BOF’s Everything About THE BATMAN PageCLICK HERE for BOF’s coverage of THE PENGUIN.

Bill “Jett” Ramey isn’t just a Batman fan — he’s one of the founding fathers of the online Batman community. As the creator and Editor-in-Chief of Batman-On-Film.com, the original and longest-running Batman news and commentary site, Jett helped carve the very bedrock of modern fan internet press. A lifelong Dark Knight disciple, Jett has spent decades championing filmmaker‑driven Batman stories, cutting through fanboy noise with a Texas‑sized dose of honesty, and keeping the conversation smart, civil, and drama‑free. He’s the BOF Godfather — the guy who was here before the hashtags, before the clickbait, before the algorithms… and he’s still here, still talking Batman, still calling it straight. When he steps out of Gotham, Jett is pure Texas. He bleeds Dallas Cowboys blue, blasts Elvis and rock ’n’ roll, and has a deep appreciation for cold beer, dive bars, and Texas Longhorns football. He works out, he cooks, and he can grill like a man who’s earned the right to say “don’t assume” when he tells you he lives in the great state of Texas. He shares that home with his wife — “Announcer Rachel” — and their dogs: Gracelin the Labradoodle and Presley, a rescue pup named after the King himself.
