Let me preface by saying the following…
1) I’ve been friends with Kris Tapley for a long time. He’s a fellow OG and a true, diehard, Batman fan. Consider that a “disclaimer,” I suppose.
2) He’s as legit as legit and solid of a professional — and human being — as one can possibly be.
3) I actually asked his permission to write this story based upon his tweet from earlier today. That’s what’s called “respect” for all you youngins and whatnot.
With all that said, here’s the KT’s tweet from this morning regarding THE BATMAN that got a lot of run on the interwebs…
Hearing THE BATMAN picks back up in September. All locations scrapped. Building everything in studio now.

Keep in mind that Kris is just passing along something that he heard — and trust me, he’s more than well connected — and that’s it.
So, if this is the case, how does it impact THE BATMAN?
Not all that much…I think.
They’ll resume filming in plenty of time for post-production to have the film ready for it’s scheduled October 1, 2021 release date. If crowds were needed for certain on-location shoots (like those that were scheduled for Liverpool and Glasgow), they can be CGI’ed into the final product. And keep in mind that they did shoot at least a third of the film before having to shut down, so I’m sure Matt Reeves and his team have been working “post” on it since production was shut down a few months ago.
Regardless, #TheBatmanIsComing and #TheBatmanverseIsComing too! – Bill “Jett” Ramey
Oh yeah…
Since he’s my friend, I’m going to plug his stuff! Check out THE CALL SHEET with KRIS TAPLEY!
