Robert Pattinson Tried to Hide His Batman Audition From Christopher Nolan

While doing an interview with THE IRISH TIMES for TENET, Robert Pattinson made a very interesting confession: He lied to Christopher Nolan about auditioning for THE BATMAN.  Not because he was afraid to tell Chris about it, but because he had been mandated by Warner Bros. to keep it on the down and low.  Plus, as he said previously, he was afraid if word got out about him and THE BATMAN, he’d be jinxed and he’d lose the role.

It’s funny because Chris is so secretive about everything to do with his movies.  And then I had to be really secretive about Batman stuff. So I had to lie to Chris about having to go for a screen test — I said I had a family emergency. And as soon as I said ‘it’s a family emergency’ he said, ‘You’re doing the Batman addition, aren’t you?

I bet Chris already knew that Pattinson was up for the role of Batman and was having some fun with him!
