With Warner’s previously announced 45-day theatrical exclusive window for their 2022 (and beyond, for now) film releases, this isn’t really a surprise.

According to DEADLINE, THE BATMAN will hit HBO Max on Tuesday, April 19 on HBO Max and HBO linear on Saturday, April 23.  THE BATMAN apparently gets 1 extra day — 46 total — as a theater exclusive.

That means that domestically, the movie has another month to build up its already successful box office which currently sits at $252.5M (as of Tuesday, March 15).  THE BATMAN is expected to finish its domestic run around $400M and with a worldwide tally between $800-$900M.  Impressive.

Personally, I’ve seen it 5 times now and plan on getting a couple of more screenings in before it leaves theaters for good.  At that point, I’ll watch the hell out of it on HBO Max.  And of course, I’m looking forward to the home video/Blu-ray release as I figure it’ll come chock full of awesome bonus features and extras.
