SOURCES: DEADLINE and THE WRAP. – Bill “Jett” Ramey

I’ll make this short and sweet: Warner Bros. is totally moving away from the old “DCEU” and all that came with it and the new “DCU” under James Gunn and Peter Safran will start from scratch.

Oh yeah, they ain’t gonna eff with Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN UNIVERSE.

Here’s the skinny in a nutshell via a new exclusive article from THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

  • WONDER WOMAN 3 is dead.
  • BLACK ADAM sequel ain’t gonna happen.
  • A new Superman film with Henry Cavill is unlikely.
  • AQUAMAN 2 is Jason Momoa’s last turn as the King of Atlantis…but he could play Lobo in a future DC film.
  • Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN UNIVERSE is being left alone.

This news comes as no surprise to me as a total restart of the new “connected” DCU under Gunn and Safran has been the scuttlebutt I’ve been hearing for the last several weeks.  And frankly, a total clean slate for DC on film is best.
