THE BATMAN is Returning to Liverpool

For the last few weeks, it’s been whispered that THE BATMAN would travel to Liverpool, UK to film on-location — specifically around the St. George’s Hall area of the city.  The production was all set to film in Liverpool back in March, but had to cancel and then go on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  THE BATMAN resumed filming around the first of September (though they had to take a short hiatus due to a positive COVID-19 test by a member of the cast/crew).

Well, it looks like it’s finally going to happen.  I tweeted this out a couple of days ago…

And…

According to Radio City News, THE BATMAN will film on-location in Liverpool from Monday, October 12th to Friday, October 16th.  Apparently, the production will sequester in a hotel and will even bring extras from London as opposed to hiring local folks from Liverpool to make sure the environment is safe as possible.

Keep in mind that the British government has halted the country’s reopening due to a surge of COVID-19 infections and could possibly be heading for another lockdown.  Here’s hoping that THE BATMAN doesn’t have to go on another long hiatus due to COVID-19 and can finish filming and finish safely. – Bill “Jett” Ramey
