My take on this follows…
According to VARIETY, DC Studios co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are “…exploring the possibility of incorporating filmmaker Matt Reeves’ iteration of Batman with actor Robert Pattinson into their wider universe.”
I can say that I am unequivocally opposed to this happening. From the very beginning, THE BATMAN UNIVERSE was crafted by Matt Reeves to exist in its own cinematic world where superheroes, magical beings, aliens, and people with superpowers did not exist. Reeves has said on several occasions that he viewed his Gotham and Batman, played by Robert Pattinson, as a standalone thing that wouldn’t be part of a shared DC on film universe.
And it should stay that way…and it is, apparently. The fire department arrived very quickly…
There are few reporters I love more than @adambvary – truly a good guy – but in this case he needs to get a new source as this is entirely untrue. https://t.co/a7cnbTfpSi
