According to WORLD OF REEL, THE BATMAN: PART II will begin filming in February or March 2025.

Before it was announced that the film had been pushed back a full year to October 2, 2026, BOF was told filming wouldn’t begin until the 4th quarter of 2024.  Once the release date was changed, I heard it would commence in January-ish of 2025.  Thus, February/March of next year makes sense and jibes with this news.

WOR also mentions that the script has yet to be finished which also backs up what BOF was told recently.  Matt Reeves is meticulous when it comes to crafting the story and script for PART II which should be welcomed.  Also, with THE PENGUIN making its debut on MAX this coming Fall and coming almost right between THE BATMAN in 2022 and THE BATMAN: PART II in 2026, it’s not like we’re not getting any of THE BATMAN SAGA for 4-plus years.  So enjoy THE PENGUIN here in a few months and before you know it, THE BATMAN: PART II will be here.

Think about it this way…

Remember how you “couldn’t wait” for THE DARK KNIGHT?  Well, TDK hit theaters 16 — SIXTEEN — years ago.  Yeah.

Enjoy the ride, people. – Bill “Jett” Ramey

(Thanks to BOF’s Peter Verra for the heads up!)
