Michael Uslan’s Favorite BATMAN ’89 Scenes

5317

Recently, I polled BOF’er and asked them to tell me their favorite scenes from BATMAN ’89. Currently, I’ve taken that data, analyzed it, and I’m working to post the top 5 to 8 responses in an upcoming BOF article in honor of B89‘s 30th anniversary.  Stay tuned for that.

In the meantime, I reached out to BOF’s good friend Michael Uslan — you know, the man responsible for getting that movie made — to tell us his favorite scenes from the film.  So, in no particular order, here they are!  (Click on the images of each to watch the video of each scene.)- Bill “Jett” Ramey

“I’m Batman!”

Batman and Vicki race through the night to the Batcave via Batmobile, as Danny Elfman’s music plays in the background.

“He gave us a signal!” through to the end as Danny Elfman’s score concludes.

“I made you? You made me first!”

“Let’s get nuts!”

“I didn’t ask.”

“Get in my car.”
“Which car?….Oh.”

My credit.

As a reminder, the story behind “Did you ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight” was revealed in my graphic novel, BATMAN: DETECTIVE #27…which also has some relevance regarding BATMAN BEGINS. – Michael Uslan
