Fandom on the internet is out of F’n control!

In other news, fire will burn you.

I told y’all not so fast when many/most of the wannabe social media influencers and fan websites/outlets started “reporting” that Sebastian Stan had revealed his “real” role in THE BATMAN PART II to French outlet Lejdd.fr to be Harvey Dent. They just ran as fact with it without, you know, legitimately asking WB or the original source, 1) If it was true, or 2) If it was possible Stan actually didn’t say it? I mean, it’s a French outlet, so it’s very possible that something was lost in translation. Or hell, perhaps they just assumed he was playing Harvey Dent based on previous PART II casting buzz/rumor.

But if you had come to BOF right when this “news” was spreading, you would’ve seen that I didn’t jump on that BS bandwagon like all the others. No “Sebastian Stan Confirms He’s Harvey Dent” headline or articles here. I let it ride a bit and then posted a short article which I’ll let you read for yourselves RIGHT HERE. May want to check out some of the links I included, FYI.

Anyway, the aforementioned French outlet who did the interview with Stan undated their article because he had been…wait for it…misquoted.

For the record, Sebastian Stan’s role in THE BATMAN PART II has not been officially revealed and confirmed by Warner/DC Studios or the Boss, Matt Reeves.

Who is he actually playing?

Well, I’ll let the Boss tell you. – Bill “Jett” Ramey

Bill "Jett" Ramey
Bill “Jett” Ramey isn’t just a Batman fan — he’s one of the founding fathers of the online Batman community. As the creator and Editor-in-Chief of Batman-On-Film.com, the original and longest-running Batman news and commentary site, Jett helped carve the very bedrock of modern fan internet press. A lifelong Dark Knight disciple, Jett has spent decades championing filmmaker‑driven Batman stories, cutting through fanboy noise with a Texas‑sized dose of honesty, and keeping the conversation smart, civil, and drama‑free. He’s the BOF Godfather — the guy who was here before the hashtags, before the clickbait, before the algorithms… and he’s still here, still talking Batman, still calling it straight. When he steps out of Gotham, Jett is pure Texas. He bleeds Dallas Cowboys blue, blasts Elvis and rock ’n’ roll, and has a deep appreciation for cold beer, dive bars, and Texas Longhorns football. He works out, he cooks, and he can grill like a man who’s earned the right to say “don’t assume” when he tells you he lives in the great state of Texas. He shares that home with his wife — “Announcer Rachel” — and their dogs: Gracelin the Labradoodle and Presley, a rescue pup named after the King himself.
