Gotta say that I’m not all that unfamiliar with Ms. Calle’s work as my wife (“Announcer Rachel”) is still a fan of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS soap opera.  She records the episodes and then binge-watches them while running on the treadmill.  I asked her about Ms. Calle and she said that she “loved her” and thought she was “really talented.”  (I cannot confirm or deny that I watched Y&R with my grandmother’s as a kid, while in college, or even today.  I will say that I like Victor Newman a lot.)

While I’m fine with the casting, I do wonder why Supergirl is in this film?  My first thought is that Warner Bros. is eying a Supergirl spinoff movie starring the lovely Ms. Calle.  While I’d bet a million dollars — of Monopoly money, as always — that a Supergirl film is in the pipeline, I hope that’s not the only reason the character is in THE FLASH.  Oh yeah…

That sound noise you hear is fanboys raging that this Supergirl isn’t going to be blonde-haired and blue-eyed. *rolling eyes really hard* – Bill “Jett” Ramey
