Clancy Brown has been cast as Salvatore Maroni in THE BATMAN‘s HBO spinoff series, THE PENGUIN.  Picking up right after the events of THE BATMAN, THE PENGUIN stars Colin Farrell and centers on the character, Oz, he played in the film.

If you’re a regular reader of BOF and a listener of the BOF Social Hour podcast, you know I’ve long speculated that Sal Maroni would be a character that would be featured in THE PENGUIN.  I mean, after the events of THE BATMAN it seemed obvious that Maroni’s drug conviction would be overturned (due to the shenanigans of Carmine Falcone, the Gotham police, and Gotham district attorney’s office) and he would return to Gotham to reclaim his place high atop the city’s organized crime hierarchy.
