BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER Has a Home at Amazon Prime

Streamer Orders Two Seasons of the new Batman Animated Series

Well, we knew it was going to be on one of the streamers…now we know exactly which one.

Per THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, the new animated Batman TV series — BATMAN: CAPED CRUSADER — has been picked up by Amazon Prime and the streamer has given it the greenlight for two seasons.  The series was first announced in 2021.

BCC comes via Bruce Timm, J.J. Abrams, and Matt Reeves Reeves and was sold to a streaming rival as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s desire to make money off of their content by selling various projects to third-party buyers.  BCC was originally planned to air on HBO Max.  There is no word as of yet when the series will make its debut.
