Joe Barton is the new showrunner for the upcoming spinoff series set in the world of Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN on HBO Max.
Barton has joined the show as both showrunner and executive producer after original showrunner Terance Winter’s departure from the project in November, DEADLINE is reporting. Barton is the creator of the crime drama GIRI/HAJI on Netflix.
Barton is taking over for Terence Winter who left the project over “creative differences” with producer/creator Matt Reeves.
