Oh, the people on social media and the wannabe genre media “influencers.”

If you read BOF or listen to our podcasts, you know that I have been banging and will continue to bang the drum — old school BOF style — in support of a third film in Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN EPIC CRIME SAGA. Even though Reeves has said that a trilogy was always the plan, a third film is not a given.

Thus, I bang the BOF drum for it.

With that said, not long ago I wrote an op-ed saying that 1) Yes, there should be third movie, and 2) It has to be released sooner than the 6-year gap between THE BATMAN and PART II. You can actually read it RIGHT HERE.

So, to follow that up on that op-ed and keep THE BATMAN PART III talk going, I posted this picture on Twitter…

That’s it.

Not once did I write on any social media or on the actual BOF website that PART II and PART II of THE BATMAN EPIC CRIME SAGA were filming back-to-back. That is not happening and, again, didn’t say it nor did I suggest it. People just incorrectly assumed and, well, you know what happens when you assume, right?

Look, I like to have fun with fans on social media. But when I have something to say, I say it straight-up on my website…just like I’ve done for nearly 3 GD decades.

The issue here is really with the aforementioned wannabe genre/Batman social media influencers. They are so quick to post something to get clicks, likes, thumb-ups, and followers, they’ll do it without even asking what, in this case, the original source the meaning of the image.

A lot of y’all jump to a conclusion and were dead ass wrong.

FYI: BOF is not a scoop site and I don’t post spoilers. If you actually read the site — which has been around for 28 years now — you know this…and you very likely would have known what the message behind the image was about. You either interpreted the image incorrectly or were duped by clickbait bullshit.

Those of you who ran “News Stories” reporting it as fact and that I said it, instead of telling y’all to fuck off, I’ll politely laugh and say, bless your hearts. – Bill “Jett” Ramey

THE BATMAN: PART II will be released on February 18, 2028.  For BOF’s coverage of this film, visit BOF’s Everything About THE BATMAN: PART II Page. For BOF’s coverage of 2022’s THE BATMAN, visit BOF’s Everything About THE BATMAN PageCLICK HERE for BOF’s coverage of THE PENGUIN.

Bill "Jett" Ramey
Bill “Jett” Ramey isn’t just a Batman fan — he’s one of the founding fathers of the online Batman community. As the creator and Editor-in-Chief of Batman-On-Film.com, the original and longest-running Batman news and commentary site, Jett helped carve the very bedrock of modern fan internet press. A lifelong Dark Knight disciple, Jett has spent decades championing filmmaker‑driven Batman stories, cutting through fanboy noise with a Texas‑sized dose of honesty, and keeping the conversation smart, civil, and drama‑free. He’s the BOF Godfather — the guy who was here before the hashtags, before the clickbait, before the algorithms… and he’s still here, still talking Batman, still calling it straight. When he steps out of Gotham, Jett is pure Texas. He bleeds Dallas Cowboys blue, blasts Elvis and rock ’n’ roll, and has a deep appreciation for cold beer, dive bars, and Texas Longhorns football. He works out, he cooks, and he can grill like a man who’s earned the right to say “don’t assume” when he tells you he lives in the great state of Texas. He shares that home with his wife — “Announcer Rachel” — and their dogs: Gracelin the Labradoodle and Presley, a rescue pup named after the King himself.
